The second conference I’m proud to highlight is Cyber Security Summit - Cyberfy, whose first edition in 2024 brought together all dimensions of cybersecurity. Ana Komnenic masterfully combined technological, legal, and psychological perspectives, creating a platform for a holistic approach to one of today’s most critical topics. This event isn’t just a conference – it’s a strategic look into the future of digital security.

I had the opportunity to speak at the Cyber Security Summit ~ Cyberfy in Belgrade. The topic was particularly intriguing as it combines law and cybersecurity. During our panel discussion, "How to Protect Your Organization: Legal Insights into Laws, Directives, and Privacy," we explored the Draft Law on Information Security, the NIS2 Directive, and the importance of strong contractual provisions for cybersecurity, especially in the context of supply chain management. The role of lawyers who understand cyber is crucial in this landscape.

Last week, I had the honor and privilege of participating in the Cyber Security Summit ~ Cyberfy. Together with my colleagues Bogdan Ivanisevic and Dr. Milena Nikolic, I had the opportunity to share our insights and expertise on securing critical national infrastructure, the NIS2 Directive, the upcoming Law on Information Security of the Republic of Serbia, and their implications for advancing cybersecurity practices in regional companies. Our discussion covered essential topics, including: 👉 An overview of the requirements outlined in Article 7 of the Law, 👉 The value of an interdisciplinary team—comprised of legal, security, business, and IT professionals—in implementing measures that align with regulatory demands, 👉 Key contract clauses to address for managing third-party risks, 👉 Challenges in meeting incident management requirements, particularly around incident reporting timelines. I believe the combination of legal and security professionals on this panel brought fresh perspectives, making the session both informative and insightful.
